Forward to Colleague

Thousands of the World's Top IT & Business Decision-Makers Visit ITxpo
This year's Gartner Symposium/ITxpo is off to a lively start with more than 6,000 executives onsite to research their next IT investments. And they'll be accessible onsite throughout the conference, thanks to best-of-breed networking, resources, and programming, including:

  • Keynotes by Microsoft's Steve Ballmer, Cisco's John Chambers, and JetBlue's Joseph Eng
  • 250+ in-depth sessions delivered by over 150 Gartner Analysts for an unparalleled level of expertise and experience
  • Networking with executives representing the breadth and depth of global business
  • ITxpo exhibit floor packed with today's leading innovators and solution providers, organized into 12 Marketplaces

Symposium/ITxpo Sponsors Meet More C-Level
Attendees than Ever
We're accustomed to welcoming hundreds of C-level attendees to Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, but this year the world's top executives have come out in record numbers. The more than 1,100 CIOs in attendance have the additional option of participating in Gartner EXP, an exclusive Gartner research program tailored to the needs of today's CIO. They’ll be canvassing the exhibit floor looking for solutions to their biggest IT challenges.

Symposium Communities Put Sponsors Together with the Right Contacts
Every conference attendee is a member of one of nine Symposium Communities aligned with their role or core interest – as indicated by their badge – and each Symposium Community maps to a related Marketplace.

Sponsors take advantage of connecting with community members by:

  • Looking out for the color coded community badges
  • Using Agenda Builder to access a schedule of sessions tailored to each Symposium Community
  • Exhibitor attendees (not booth staff) can join Communities and participate in programs and the Sunday evening reception
  • Interacting via Online Symposium Communities

Fast-paced Fact Gathering
Symposium attendees jump-started their fact-finding by attending analyst presentations and solution sessions over the day. This evening, the pace of information gathering will gain momentum when the exhibit floor officially opens its doors. Sponsors are in prime position to meet a qualified audience of decision makers with budgets and a vision:

  • 21% of attendees are at the C-level
  • 80% represent companies with IT budgets of $6 million or more

And when it comes to developing a short list, pre-conference survey data offers interesting insights on attendee intentions:

  • 97% have an active role in purchasing decisions
  • 88% plan to evaluate new products and technology providers
  • 67% plan to evaluate existing technology providers
