Opening Reception Delivers Face Time, Refreshments &
First Looks
The Gartner Symposium/ITxpo exhibit hall enjoyed a festive, two-hour opening reception last night, attended by thousands of IT and business executives from many of the world's leading organizations. Attendees got their first look at more than 110 exhibit booths organized into 12 marketplaces and mingled with sponsors. For attendees — executives in charge of some of the largest IT budgets — it was the first step in a process that will culminate in a short list of vendors as they plan for upcoming IT projects.

Symposium/ITxpo Kicks-Off with Valuable Advice
On Monday morning, the opening session of the conference quickly delved into the challenges facing the IT enterprise and delivered actionable recommendations for responding to the current economic climate. Among the suggestions for delivering on these items was the necessity to carefully evaluate investments in technology and service providers — and ITxpo delivers the ideal format for attendees to compare and evaluate vendors.

ITxpo: The Exhibit Floor with a Difference
ITxpo is one venue where value shines brighter than hype, and it's apparent that attendees appreciate that. It's why they return to the exhibit hall again and again throughout the conference. Expect continued robust attendance at the unique array of special ITxpo features designed to deliver real insight and useful knowledge, such as:

  • Marketplace Theater Presentations — 70 analyst and case-study sessions deliver real-world content and in-depth analysis
  • Sponsor face-to-face meetings — 45-minute private meetings with top prospects. The Agenda Builder makes it easy for attendees to set up meetings with you.
  • Premier Sponsor Theatre Presentations — 20-minute Premier Sponsor hosted sessions designed to compliment the solution rich agenda — the link between conference learning and market solutions for attendees.

Communities: Connect with Your Most Valuable Customers
Symposium Communities take the conference experience to the next level of relevancy. Each of this year's more than 6,000 participants joined one of nine Symposium Communities specific to their role in the enterprise, from application management to outsourcing and vendor relationships.

  • What's in it for the attendee?
    • The ability to network with peers facing similar challenges and access content addressing their needs.
  • What's in it for ITxpo sponsors?
    • The chance to quickly recognize attendees' specific needs based on their role in the enterprise, as well as the opportunity to target particular roles across the conference.

With this year's most influential conference winding down, it's time to give serious thought to reaching this unmatched audience of IT implementers at our next Gartner event.
